Most important! It’s time for our first PCDWA Happy Hour of 2024!!!! February 20, 6 PM Come one, come all! Bring a friend, come if you’ve never come before! As always, guys are welcome! We’ll discuss all the races (including all those pesky judge races) and there will be YARD SIGNS! For address info, sign up at membership@pdcwa.org.
On February 15th at 12:00PM the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce will host the Tx House District 108 Democratic Primary Candidate Forum with moderation by the League of Women Voters of Dallas. The forum will be in-person at the North Dallas Chamber of Commerce's office and streamed on the NDCC Facebook page, here. Registration is not required to stream the event.
All candidates for this race will be in attendance.
A candidate forum is a live public meeting in which two or more of the candidates for office present their views in short individual speeches.
The League of Women Voters never supports or opposes any political party or political candidate. Forums sponsored by the LWV, or in which the LWV participates, are nonpartisan and ensure that all participating candidates are treated fairly and equally.
Who should you vote for in the Democratic Primary, March 5th? Hear candidates from HD108, SD16 , CD32 & CD24. There is no charge to attend.
Friday, October 13 – 10:00 AM – 108 Candidates Elizabeth Ginsberg and Yasmin Simon will be joining us to talk about their race. Defeating Morgan Meyer remains our top priority. We’ll also hear from the Dallas County Dems to learn about what’s going on in our wider community.
For more information on the issues, see this article at the Texas Tribune.

With life at a (hopefully) more relaxed pace, we hope to reconnect with our PCDWA members and meet new folks as well over coffee. Grab your Democratic friends, neighbors, your partner, spouse, co-workers and meet up with other like-minded people!

PCDWA LIT STICKING - launch on Saturday, October 15, 9-11AM @4332 Grassmere Ln (driveway on Armstrong). If you would like to participate and can't make it until later, please text/call Molly Salmon at 210-275-5453
Join us Thursday, 10/13 at a free event as we hear from Kelly Hart with Planned Parenthood and Liz Ginsberg on how vital it is that we have pro-choice representation in Austin. Follow this Link to RSVP!
Liz is the ONLY pro-choice candidate in the race, with opponent Morgan Meyer voting for the most extreme abortion ban in the country, denying women access to vital healthcare even in the case of rape or incest.
While there are a myriad of issues facing our state and our county, there is no doubt that this election will be a referendum on women's right to autonomy over their bodies. If we keep sending extreme representation like Morgan Meyer to Austin, we are supporting extreme control over the women in THIS district and this state.
Please join us and bring your friends, no matter their political leanings.

HD108 and HD112 are the only two house districts in Dallas County that are still currently Red. Elizabeth Ginsberg has good data showing how many persuadable moderates are in our HD108, so let's show her our support and flip HD108 Blue!
Early voting begins for HPISD and Constitutional elections. You can vote at any Dallas County location (check dallascountyvotes.org for options). Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and UPUMC are open locally.
