Candidate Speaking Guidelines

PCDWA welcomes its Local, State, and Federal candidates and legislators to speak and meet with our members!  Informing our members and providing opportunities to meet with candidates and legislators is part of our mission.  The PCDWA Leadership Committee will invite candidates to speak at its monthly coffees and happy hours. Our Candidate Coordinate will work with the speaker or their point of contact to schedule.  Note that speaking is by invitation only.

The speaking guidelines are as follows:

  • Must have a confirmed and scheduled invite from the PCDWA Leadership Committee

  • Will have 20  minutes to speak and answer questions plus additional time to meet and mingle with members

  • Shall not invite or bring other candidates/legislators to speak at a PCDWA meeting or event unless otherwise approved in advance by the PCDWA Leadership Committee

  • May inform members of upcoming volunteer activities.  Since the PCDWA is not a PAC; solicitating donations during the meetings is prohibited.

PCDWA does not endorse or fundraise for candidates or organizations.  Individual member’s endorsements and/or financial support is independent from and does not imply endorsement or support from the PCDWA Organization.

If you are interested in speaking at a PCDWA Monthly Coffee or Happy Hour, please contact candidates@pcdwa.org.
